The Digital X-ray systems used at MEDIX LAB allow for high resolution x-ray imaging, while reducing patient exposure to radiation, eliminating the need for retakes and also allows for electronic transfer of images from one location to another through PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).

FEMALE PATIENTS- HOW SHOULD YOU PREPARE?

Inform the health care provider prior to the exam if you are pregnant, may be pregnant, If abdominal studies are planned and you have had a barium contrast study (such as a barium enema, upper GI series, or barium swallow) in the last 4 days, the test may be delayed until the contrast has fully passed.
You will be required to remove all jewellery, metallic objects and wear a hospital gown during the x-ray examination because metal and certain clothing can obscure the images and require repeat studies.
